5000 STAR UNIT TRIPLE PLAY LOCK OF THE YEAR

The question was if the Mavs were going to win 50 games. Wait a second. Why is this blog called ‘THEY'RE MAMMALS!!!’? Creth said something about Charlton Heston. I love Moses, Ben-Hur, and the NRA, but I’m kinda lost here. Why 3 exclamation points? I’m just gonna move on.

The question was if the Mavs were going to win 50 games. So, naturally I went to an online book to see the over/under on total wins (46.5). Interesting…

The key to the season is Josh and Carlisle. I believe everyone else ‘is what they is’, as Popeye kinda said.

If Josh can get his head right, concentrate, hustle, and just do his thug thizzle, then everything will be ok

If Carlisle can build an offense that plays to Kidd’s strengths (running, playmaking on the break) and masks his weaknesses (driving, creating in halfcourt sets, shooting).

Two big ifs.

I’m not concerned about the back end of the Mavs roster. If more then a couple of those guys get major run, the Mavs are in huge trouble.

I think those if’s can somewhat come true, and I think they get 50 wins.

So, the 5000 STAR UNIT TRIPLE PLAY LOCK OF THE YEAR is….

Mavs over 46.5 wins

Note – I don’t want to make my contribution to this blog a tout sheet, but I might lean that way. I don’t gamble on sports anymore, but I’m still enticed by beating the LV line.

Everyone needs to know the dark underbelly that drives money into sports, especially the huge money involved in it these days, gambling and greed. If that gets us hits and advertising, then I’m all for it. Blogs are all about getting that loot, right?

Or are blogs about getting your voice heard in this oppressive world, or as Gordon Keith says ‘everybody just wants to star in their own movie’ (and yes, I’m guilty)
