I've spent too much time watching non-game programming starring a current or retired NFL "star" such as Keyshawn's terrible interior "design" program, T.O.'s reality show starring two annoying... girls (made me feel sorry for T.O.), Michael Irvin's 4th and Long (probably more successful than his Dancing with the Stars run, have to mention Emmitt's Dancing with the Stars victory though I couldn't care less) and Michael Strahan's new show where he plays himself with a new last name and Carl Weathers as his t.v. dad. this show is terrible. really terrible. I wanna like it for Daryl Mitchell but even he's mailin' it in. let's just say Tashard Choice's television debut needs to happen soon. Bubba Smith and O.J. are the last NFLers to truly entertain

the last episode of Mike Irvin's show was just like every episode before it- unintentionally hilarious. "E-Mo" lived up to his nickname and became the first castoff to cry (thankfully he did not ask for Irvin's contact information, Montrell) Coach Joe wore his funeral suit and Jerral couldn't stop staring at Jesse "Jolley" Holley, the winner. I believe it's time to start talking about another season of 4TH AND LONGuntil then we have a fantastic filler- The T.O. Show which started off with a bang (T.O. provided the table cloth that Jerral drew his pink slip on) and promises to be pretty entertaining (4 to 1 odds on a T.O. vs Paco tussle before the season's over)

p.s. I still miss T.O.

update: "The Superstars" stinks now that T.O. isn't on it.

MUST SEE T.V. 4TH AND LONG

if you didn't see the first episode, don't worry Spike has reruns almost every day. watch them. this is great television. especially if you're a Cowboys fan. this is better than Hard Knocks. Mike, The Turk, Coach Joe and Bill Bates along with a revolving door of all-time greats (Drew Pearson gave an inspiring speech about not being drafted and yet earning a starting spot on America's Team, and that was when the draft had 17 rounds!!)

seriously, in between The Turk (Nate Newton) asking for everyone's pagers (I didn't know any still had one of those, must be a doctor) and the Cotton Bowl as the setting... this is just great great lookin', entertaining television.

Michael Irvin is a man

was anyone listening to ESPN 103.3 around eleven o'clock this morning? at the start of Michael Irvin's radio show he said a prayer for all those touched by the accident Saturday at Valley Ranch. he prayed during his entire first segment. it was an awesome prayer, it was a prayer for those injured and those listening. Irvin has a way of shinin' God's light on all who will listen, God bless Michael Irvin and God bless all of those injured Saturday at Valley Ranch
