The Movie Guy?

Has anyone read the Sports Guy's latest magazine article? In the words of Josh Baskin, "I...don't...get...it." And if the immortal Robert Loggia asked me what don't I get, I would say the point of the article. I mean, reading that thing made me feel like a kid playing with a building. What's fun about that?

HA, you just don't get it. I got it. I loved it. if you're a regular reader then you understand that that's a part of his "style" or "what he does"

he loves using movies and situations from movies as metaphors for what's happening in sports, to an athlete, etc.

it's kind of like how the Ticket likes using crude humor and talk of genitals to relate to sports

I've been reading the Sports Guy since college. I know he loves movies. I just don't give a crap about his number system and I don't give a crap that he's in love with Merryl Streep.

He'll say something in the near future about this column not being that great because he's trying to finish his book. Bet on it.

you don't give a crap but you have to admit that this is par for the course, especially under the circumstances (writing a book)

Just write about basketball and save Merryl Streep for yo mama. Problem solved.

A retroactive diary of the Clippers collapse against the Cavs followed that actor's ranking column. That's what I'm talkin' about! The detailed description of the Clips' final play made me laugh out loud...
